Thursday, January 29th, 2015 @ 7:51PM

Over the past two years CFEG has been involved in researching and bringing about awareness to the Identity Theft-Based Tax Refund Fraud (Id Theft) problem. CFEG has also been studying ways of solving this problem through legislation. H.R. 5670, is a bill that CFEG has been working on which we believe will solve the Id Theft problem. The bill is sponsored by Congressman Ted Yoho of Florida [R-FL3]. It was introduced in the House on September 18, 2014. At this time there is a total of 10 Republicans and 7 Democrats – a good bi-partisan mix. In the new Congress CFEG is working with House and Senate members to re-introduce H.R. 5670 in both the House and the Senate. As soon as the newly introduced bill is introduced we will post it to the website for our visitors to follow.
